Addictions
-
An addiction is a compulsive, uncontrollable, obsessive and normally harmful type of behaviour. It is something that as much as you try it is a behavior that almost has a life of their own. You try and control it but you simply can’t.
It normally harms your life in many different ways: It can ruin your health, breaks you down psychologically, breaks down your self-esteem, it can cause money issues, it can ruin your social and personal life.
One of the most important aspects is to be aware and recognize that you have an addiction. Then you have to face it. Then you deal with it and heal it and that’s where I come in. I can help you to overcome this in a long-lasting way.

Addictions are habits that are often destructive and take you on a downward spiral.
Each individual case has it’s own characteristics. Nonetheless, I ‘ve often encountered patterns and unresolved issues in the many hypnotherapy sessions that I’ve done.
These can be learned behaviours. Ie: you have learned with your experiences and upbringing that drinking a lot of alcohol is “normal” behaviour.
These can be past experiences. Ie: You associate overeating as a way to fill in an emotional and internal void from past experiences.
These can be coping mechanisms or escapism. Ie: If you are in a lot of pain, normally chronic pain you use prescription drugs to avoid the pain. When you least expect you are completely dependent. Or you might use recreational drugs to escape your reality and fill in the “void” inside of you.
Whatever your case might be I can help with by using hypnotherapy, cbt or coaching depending on the different cases.
