Shamanic Practices
Shamanic Practices
-
Shamanic practices are normally associated with indigenous and tribal societies. These societies had a very strong relationship with nature. It is said that a shaman is a person who is believed to have the ability to heal the sick and communicate with the outer world.
In my own words and after doing different courses, my understanding of shamanic practices is the connection the Shaman has with the Source. Some people call it the Source, God, Universe, the Force, whatever are your beliefs are.
Everybody, in theory, has that connection but being a shaman that connection becomes closer and with the intent of connecting the client with the Source through energy.
I studied Shamanic Practices from a native American Indian perspective allied to my Reiki Level I.
Please note that any Shamanic Practice is only done with the person present. -
There are several types of shamanic practices that other professionals use. I prefer to use only these 3 types of shamanic practices.
HealingThis shamanic practice is used to re-energize the energy centres, also called chakras. This normally happens when the client feels drained and with lack of energy. By doing this I provide energy to the energy centres in order to balance them.
ExtractionI use this shamanic practice when the client doesn’t feel like himself. Our energy centres have a set colour and rotate at a certain speed. Sometimes there are different energies that these centres aren’t adequate to these centres. Sometimes there is the need to extract the energies that aren’t from these centres, so they can function normally.
Soul JourneyI use this shamanic practice when the client feels lost or without direction in his life. Our soul has an individual purpose and along the way, we lose parts of our soul. We lose parts of who we truly are therefore we feel the lack for direction. With a soul journey, we can recover “parts of our soul” (according to native American shamanic practices). By doing this we start to live more fully on our true purpose.

Whenever dealing with someone we always need to have in consideration the following 4 bodies.
Physical bodyThis is your physical body, hands, arms, torso, head etc. It is everything in your body that you can use recognise with your 5 senses.
Emotional BodyThis is the part of your body that is ruled by emotions that can very between love, peace, happiness down to hatred, loneliness fear among many others. There are 10 basic emotions but according to new studies they can be up to 27 emotions. These emotions can influence what you feel, think, do and say.
Mental BodyThis body is related to thoughts and any other input that comes from our brain. What we are thinking and where do our thoughts lead us to. Our thoughts help to create our reality.
Energetic BodyThe energetic body is a composite of energetic layers and subtle bodies connected by energy. In the Reiki, Shamanic Practices I use the at least 7 chakras, which are key energy points to be able to connect all of the energy of the body. With this, you can then balance the energy in your body.
